At the United Nations, addressing women issues

On November 30th, Nia was first invited by Maria Emma Mejia, a UN Ambassador of Colombia, to participate and speak for the annual session called “Justice and Gender Equality to Build Peaceful Scenarios For Development: Colombian Case” from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the United Nation Headquarters in New York.
At the session, Nia was given an opportunity to not only participate as an audience, but also speak to introduce herself as one of the three chosen audience before other 500 participants and honorable panelists about what she does through a charity program called KIF Women of the KIF, a US nonprofit organization, and make a brief question to the panelists.
The panelists included the UN Ambassador of Colombia, Deputy Executive Director of UN Women, President of the Supreme Court of Justice, Chairman of the National Gender Commission of the Judicial Branch, Former Judge of the Superior Council of the Judicature, Former Chairman of the National Gender Commission of the Judicial Branch and Senior Fellow and Associate Director of the New York University’s Center on International Cooperation.
