A First Colombian Keynote Speaker On Japanese Globalization in Japan

On March 21st, 2016, Nia was invited as a keynoted speaker to lecture about Japanese globalization with a wide range of approx. 200 Japanese audiences from youth to senior men and women at the event, co-hosted by the Kagoshima City Government, KIF Kagoshima, Colombian Embassy Tokyo and Japan-America Society of Kagoshima  in Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. This event marked the 2nd year for her to lecture about a different topic before Kagoshima residents who also enjoyed her first speech about women last year.

At the event, she also launched her own Japanese translated book titled “The Power of Your Inner Beauty”, which was released online at the Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble bookstore, eBay, BAM Book-A-Million and IndieBound. After the event, the tens of audience lined up to buy her book in Japanese and English version. Thanks to the hard efforts done by Naomi Fujita, a director of the KIF Kagoshima and the staff of other host organizations, the main event turned out successfully.

After the main event, KIF Kagoshima put together another two-hour event targeting mainly women, speaker by Nia, Paula from the Colombian Embassy and Vice Chairwoman of Japan-America Society of Kagoshima at a different location in a restaurant in Kagoshima, Japan. Nia and Paula spoke about women and peace before smaller audience of Japanese women with a few men.

On the next day, Nia, Shin Koyamada, a chairman of KIF Japan, Naomi Fujita, a director of KIF Kagoshima, Takayuki Shimotakehara, a chairman of KIF Kagoshima, Paula, a consul of Colombian Embassy Tokyo had a meet and greet with Kagoshima Mayor Mori at the City Hall. They exchanged dialogue about the event “Be Global” and future involvement with Kagoshima City. The Mayor thanked out KIF Kagoshima for organizing the event with Kagoshima City and KIF America for connecting the City with an organization in San Diego for the City’s activity there.
